Bucharest, 30 September 2016. Rogalski Damaschin PR and Therme Bucharest won Gold for the #cultureofhealth flash mob at Digital Communication Awards, Europe’s most prominent digital communication competition. The award ceremony took place last night in Berlin. The project was nominated for two categories: Content Marketing and Viral Video, winning Gold in the latter.

Being nominated at Digital Communication Awards alongside campaigns we read about in the international media with awe and, shall we say, with a little professional envy, is something amazing in itself. But the true accomplishment is to show your campaign to an international jury and try to persuade the judges that your project deserves to win. This is truly an exercise in persuasion, which I for one believe should be adopted by many communication-related competitions. I am delighted I was part of this and especially that we won in such a difficult and competitive category like Viral Video,” said Alexandra Radu, Communication Director, Rogalski Damaschin.

This year, several of the largest companies and agencies in the world submitted campaigns in the Viral Video category, among them Allianz Worldwide, Novartis, Unilever, Edelman, and BBDO, with Rogalski Damaschin the only independent agency competing. A second Gold prize was awarded in the same category to Fashion Revolution and Ketchum Pleon & BBDO, something unprecedented for this year’s edition of the festival.

The #cultureofhealth flash mob was an absolute first, the largest unconventional musical event featuring an orchestra in Romania: 80 players, among which 8 drummers, 22 violinists, 9 percussionists, 4 cellists, and 3 trumpet players, made two beloved tunes sound equally majestic and familiar. The players surprised the visitors of the complex with an impromptu concert, an unconventional rendition by the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra of George Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody and Johann Strauss’ Radetzky March. For a few minutes, the complex became an enormous concert hall where people’s cheers of delight sustained the orchestra’s playing.

The project was a joint collaboration of Rogalski Damaschin, Therme Bucharest, Studio Set, director Goran Mihailov, and the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra.
