PROJECT: EXPERIENCE ROMANIA & EXPERIENCE BUCHAREST 2017

CONTEXT

Romania has an immense potential in becoming the top traveling destination from Central and East Europe. Research shows that 2.5 million tourists have visited Romania in the first half of 2017, spending nearly 2.6 million RON. Most of them come from Europe and enjoy destinations such as Bucharest, Brasov, Sibiu, Timis, and Cluj.

OBJECTIVES

Generate awareness and create buzz around Romania and Bucharest, as the top travel destinations from Central and East Europe

STRATEGY

Media coverage from the generalist and cultural publications, blogs and influencers, obtaining a high reach.

CONCEPT

Experience all the known and hidden gems Bucharest and Romania have to offer.

IMPLEMENTATION

Experience Bucharest and Experience Romania are some of the largest projects which aim to promote the country and transform it into a major tourist destination. Experience Romania opened with a big press conference about The future of tourism in Romania, which hosted many national journalists, foreign bloggers, and Instagrammers, national authorities. The project continued with 2 weeks of traveling throughout the country, receiving media coverage in cities such as Brasov, Sibiu etc.

RESULTS

Large media coverage – over 100 press and TV appearances, 30 blog posts, thousands social media posts, over 1.5 million impressions.
